longlonglong time since i last tagged....these days proved seemingly encouraging yet disheartening ....I think that I have been caught with so many things these days...piano ensemble, though takes up 2hours/tues/wk, but requires self-readup and self-practice....i am doing a duet on the No.5 movement F# minor of Hungarian Dance with chen chaofan a.k.a.din chiu huang for the upcoming concert in late May....better start honing my piano skills...after listening to that J3 senior playing, I find his repertoire of musical jargon and pieces from the different eras superb...You should have witnessed his flair and the dexterity of his fingers....it was a whiz and breeze for him but a state of astonishment and disbelief for us, especially me who had since grown rusty fingers 2 years back during my grade 8 practical exam conducted in J8 christofori....What I learnt today: fast and smooth pieces are written for a particular purpose and that's for the players to sink into them and obey them whole-heartedly .....will have to fork out more time on my lousy hard-keyed wussy piano at home lol as well as exposing myself to more of the clever works behind the different composers..shall discuss further next time...tmr is exco election speech cum nomination/voting....haven't prepared my speech and I am dog-tired!!!!!!!arghh...still have to train for napfa...totally no time ...NO TIME TO SLACK BIG TIME!!!!
