happy CNYE

haha so much for PE yesterday from 1740-1840 whereby we witnessed certain flamboyant styles of showcasing pieces which mr 6001 had on WMP. After all, there are many programmes up and coming and his lesson should have broken some ice. If i'm not wrong, there is a perfomance for the cancer society (heard from xw that the patients are awaiting chemotherapy), the J1 concert, the visit to the arthouse to watch a harp concert or somethin like that, the rjvjnj combined concert, the weekly performace and of course the annual concert. The calendar of events are now all strewn everywhere in my mind, kudos to me for having left my phone in my deuter...for the annual concert, wonder whether the pillow's idea is still on, otherwise i would have thought that it was not quite a bad idea; after all the seats in LT2 aren't that as comfy as those in PAC which i thought would be a better concert venue..oh well..as for the unprecedented idea of having 2 pianos instead of the usual 1, i have nothing much to say except for the fact that it just makes things more challenging i would say but all the more better. This would only attest to the ratio of groups performing on a piano to those on 2. As for the piece, it would most probably be decided after CNY.

headed right straight to esplanade park after PE yesterday as usual..the festivities at angbao river was always a reiteration of the past few years'. the performances were somewhat similar to the previous year's except perhaps for some singaporean kiddies from Hokkien Huay Kuan running to and fro while belting out the chinese lyrics of some folk songs which i think you should have sung many times when you were in K1. Asides from that, the remaining performances were of a higher standard, with acrobats, dancers, singer from countries like tibet and china showing their stuffs. The emcees noted that the singer was somewhat similar to deng lijun in terms of the intonation and pitch..I could not judge much after having listened to her original songs upon which I felt that there is merely some alikeness in the way they perceive the song. That' sit..perhaps i am not up for chinese songs..especially unenergetic ones. However, i can't deny that it was through these performances that I glean certain background, cultures of these tender patriotic folks. The food was quite disappointed in relation to those offered a few years back. What's there to look forward to in a buffet table when in a moment, people are scrambling to place their hands on the ladles and spoons in order to scoop out the seemingly ordinary hawkerfare and in another moment allowing the rest to partake in this craze when there is already no one queuing except for the fact of easing the hunger after waching the night performances? Simply in dismal..but fortunately it wasn't as abysmal as i predicted earlier on. happy cny eve.
