once again bloggy, I have failed to acknowledge the importance of keeping you updated. sorry la :(:( I have slowly lost interest in pouring in entries ever since i just started so early this year. well today was just an exception!
just came back from the 'ever-awaited event' of the year : shooting nATIONALS 2007...as usual, the A division male riflers did not fail to clinch the prestigious challenge trophy; in fact, to make it into nationals is already one great big feat! So all hail to yeong li qian, chua jun yang and of course, our chairman mr shorty!! :)(: The honour and prestige were all sensed and spelt out by our school team members. Their glory and pride were ampified in today's awe-inspring competition from where we see these 3 important figures emerging the top 3 in the individuals category. With the narrow disparity of their scores, it is no wonder that no one could hardly presume who is the most outstanding...they have thereby done the team proud. Moreover, by emerging as the second runner up of the A division female riflers category, yi tian, emelyne, eleanor and charlene do deserve some credit as well ; last but not least not forgetting the A division male and female pistolers who managed to bring back with themselves their self-earned accolades. The atmosphere there and then was simply heated, with cheers, applause, announcements and conversations being exchanged at a never ending rate. This goes to show the zest and spirit of each and every participating school and how significant the activity was to them. The activity spans for nearly a third of the day, bearing in mind the need for the admistrative people, range ic's, and competitors to warm themselves up and keep things going. Overall, all was said and done, everything turned out as planned and the mood was sustained throughout the course of the competition. This was my first time there for this activity and I have to say that I was truly impressed by the technology of the system and of course the procedures executed. The range was air-conditioned which saw many people donning their pullovers representing their teams. It was really interesting. To pass time for the non-competitors, I was basically playing bridge with du wei, yi zhou and shu han. Thanks to them, I have regained my ability. Honestly, this game differentiates itself from the other card games like poker. It requires planning, mutual understanding between partners and of course, luck in a way. Overall, though we did miss out on certain lessons, we did not miss out on this annual event which really involved everyone in the team, the contributinons one way or another that we gave.
As for academics, it is yet another thing. It is like a competition that each and everyone out there has to face, must face in fact to spur each other on. Time is tight but in fact, ample. Humans can attune to such an idea and they can succeed! Alright, that's it :>
