just caught the film 'amadeus' and couldn't help but frown upon at how things work out eventually. Well I just feel that though these 2 co-stars (tom hulce and murray abraham) deserve much ovation for their conviction and authenticity throughout the movie, there is some element of unfairness, however, that arise from and after the movie itself - why does the person who does not look as well-received as the other triumphs ultimately? Now that I have seen a scope of mozart's tragic life, it is noteworthy to mention some of the pertinent aspects. This movie was rather impactful; the outset demonstrated a flashback narration by which antagonist antanio selieri(who was awaiting death, nothingness and fate in an asylum) painstakingly confess his past sins and malicious plots to a godfather. He related how he had foiled and thwarted mozart's musical progress in the classical era by establishing a superficially cheap relationship with the zesty and all-appreciative poor chap at the start before manipulating his weak mind such as to result in his downfall. Well, basically, out of envy of mozart's amazing ingenuity and prodigy in opera-music composition as well as consternation of his own bleak prospects, he decided to make mozart work against himself, to be at the losing end yet thinking that he had been appreciated and cared for all the while. Basically, salieris failed in some of his malignant ploys, one of which is reporting to the king a work (figaro wedding) undertaken by mozart which he thought would rouse disatisfaction and discontentment in the king but, instead, created a bang and not only shown the green light, but gave mozart all the credit that he deserved. It was all so lamentable how wolfy was easily misguided all the while, inasmuch as he did not know that he was doomed for death though it may seem impending. His spirit came and left just too suddenly. He succumbed too easily to his passion, actually, temptations -drinking, writing music, going for parties and of course never incumbent in taking charge of himself. All was too ephemeral and short-lived. Money never fail to be his concern yet he still seemed rather disbothered to earn a proper living even when familial conditions are dire. Such was a life of frolick and hedonism. What I respect in him ultimately is his pride which he carries in himself as well as his outlook for life. His music never fails to reach out to the masses and his works never fail to impress people. Such is the greatest composers of all times...anyway this film rox..
